After months of rumors, the Detroit Pistons reportedly traded Jerami Grant on Wednesday, sending him to the Portland Trail Blazers for a 2025 first-round pick via the Milwaukee Bucks and other draft considerations. One of the other benefits of the deal was that it opened up even more cap space, such that the Pistons now have $43 million to work with this summer.

Entering Game 5 of the 2022 Finals, Stephen Curry made at least one 3-pointer in 132 consecutive postseason games (which, incidentally, is every postseason game in which he'd ever played), and he'd made multiple 3-pointers in 38 straight playoff games. Counting the regular season, Curry had made at least one 3-pointer in 233 consecutive games. Those were all NBA records.

The Golden State Warriors took Game 5 of the 2022 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics on Monday night to take a 3-2 series lead. Stephen Curry and company will go for the franchise's fourth title in eight years on Thursday night in Game 6. The Celtics, who have lost two consecutive games for the first time all postseason, need a home win to extend their season and force a winner-take-all Game 7.

The Boston Celtics can get within one game of their first title since 2008 when they face the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of the 2022 NBA Finals on Friday night. Boston gave up an 18-point lead in Game 3 on Wednesday night, but it recovered with a dominant fourth quarter to take control of the series. The Celtics have now won eight of the last 10 meetings between these teams. Robert Williams III (knee) is questionable for Boston. Golden State lists Stephen Curry (foot) as probable, while Andre Iguodala (knee) and Otto Porter Jr. (foot) are questionable.

The Charlotte Hornets are hiring Kenny Atkinson to replace James Borrego as their head coach, according to Shams Charania. Borrego met with Hornets officials Wednesday—including owner Michael Jordan—and sealed the deal then. Former Houston Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni was also considered a finalist for the Hornets' job. Atkinson's deal will last four years, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

With about four-and-a-half minutes left in the third quarter on Sunday, Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum swished an open 3 to cut their deficit to six points. It was a clean look off of a simple pick-and-roll, surrendered because the Golden State Warriors messed up their defensive coverage. As soon as it went in, the broadcast cut to Warriors coach Steve Kerr telling Andrew Wiggins that he was supposed to be higher up:

The Los Angeles Lakers are entering a new era under recently hired head coach Darvin Ham. On Monday, they officially introduced Ham with a press conference where he shared his insights on his plan for the team heading into next season. Ham touched on how he envisions the Lakers finding their identity on the defensive side of the ball, how he views Russell Westbrook's fit on the team next season, and expectations he has for Anthony Davis.

The Miami Heat are notorious even by NBA standards for their dedication to conditioning. Players routinely have their body fat percentage checked, and players regularly join the Heat and go on to play the best basketball of their careers in large part because of Miami's emphasis on staying in shape. This has been a central tenet of Miami's organizational philosophy since Pat Riley arrived nearly three decades ago. It isn't changing anytime soon.
