The sharp short course Kiwi bred sprinters will be dashing for cash in their $8,500 NZRS Sprint final (race 11) at the Manukau Stadium following three heats held last Sunday. Their 318m sprint is part of the huge Waterloo Cup meeting where the gold plated TAB Melbourne Cup will be on display.

It’s time for life on the couch for the outstanding sprinter Wheelchair Norm. The John McInerney trained winner of a New Zealand record 95 race wins (plus two Richmond 400m wins) was retired following his Tuesday afternoon 310m sprint at Forbury Park.

It can be described as the perfect staying debut. The Ray Adcock prepared Perfect Result stepped up in race distance when he contested a 645m event at the Addington Raceway on Friday for the first time which resulted in a stunning 37.60s pace making victory

It’s looming as a ‘bigtime’ occasion for Monday’s running of the $12,000 NZRS Advanced final at the Manawatu Raceway. Two 457m heats held last Monday saw the powerful local Lisa Cole kennels finishing up with seven of the ten listed finalists for this event.
