The Central Pulse have bounced back from their extra-time loss last week to hand the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic a 52-39 defeat in Rotorua.

In their first home game of the season, the Northern Stars were pushed all the way before subduing a gritty Mainland Tactix 56-48 in Auckland last night.

The Southern Steel have shocked the Central Pulse with a 66-63 extra-time victory, after trailing by 11 points at the start of the fourth quarter.

Pulsating from start to finish, a buzzer-time goal proved the difference when the Central Pulse pipped the Magic 51-50 in a 60-minute thriller in Hamilton on Sunday.
