Bulldogs flyer ruled out as Blues stars return; Broncos blow amid QLD rivals big boost Late Mail

Jacob Kiraz has been ruled out after an elbow injury at training with Origin star Josh Addo-Carr to take his place in a timely boost.

Meanwhile, Blues prop Tevita Pangai Jr comes onto the Bulldogs bench in jersey No.23.

The State of Origin series opener was a brutal affair — and now a host of NRL clubs could be without their big-name stars.

Coaches will have big decisions to make regarding the fitness of their representative players and both the Broncos and Cowboys can breathe a sigh of relief after key forwards escaped with fines.

After only 11 minutes on the field, NSW debutant Nicho Hynes will almost definitely take the field for the Sharks while the Dolphins have been dealt a brutal injury blow.
