Group Three winner Tralee Rose has been given the all-clear to continue her spring preparation after a veterinary examination.

Trainer Symon Wilde decided to send the mare to the Ballarat Veterinary Clinic for an examination following her subpar performances in her first two appearances this year, finishing last in both of her outings last month.

“We just wanted to make sure everything was okay with her as there was no red flag as she seemed to pull up okay from her last start,” Wilde told Racing.com.

“They did scintigraphy on her and found a few little things here and there, nothing startling, which have been treated.

“The vets said not to abandon the campaign. She gets home today. She will resume training as nothing came to light to turn her out.”

Wilde though will monitor her gallops and if she isn’t pleasing him, he will send her for a spell.

“If she comes back and gallops well and we’re happy with her work we will send her to the races again,” he said.

Tralee was purchased by Wilde and bloodstock agent Cameron Cooke out of Cambridge Stud’s 2018 New Zealand Bloodstock Book 1 Yearling Sale draft for $50,000.

She has gone on to win six of her 18 starts for Wilde, including the Listed Bagot Handicap (2800m), Gr.3 Lord Reims Stakes (2600m), Gr.3 Geelong Cup (2400m), and she finished ninth in the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) last year before a lengthy spell.
