Canterbury trainer Jack Harrington had a change of luck when Our Renezmae narrowly won her Breeders Crown two-year-old trotting fillies heat at Maryborough on Thursday night.

Harrington was this week fined $650 after admitting betting $145 to win on a horse he was engaged to drive at Addington last month.

It finished third-to-last for replacement driver Dexter Dunn after breaking at the start. Harrington said he was unaware of the 2014 change in betting rules.

Our Renezmae led out strongly for driver Anthony Butt and looked comfortable turning in, but the trail horse, Moonshine Linda, powered home and the Kiwi filly ($1.70) only clung on by a head in 2:48.6 for the mobile 2190m.

Australian-trained three-year-old star trotting gelding Wobelee and high-class filly Une Belle Allure crushed their rivals after leading.
