The Mark Purdon-trained More The Better, narrowly beaten after leading in the semifinals of the three-year-old male pacers division by Aussie star Our Little General at Bendigo on Saturday night, has drawn one for the $190,000 final (2240m mobile).

His Aussie rival is in three, but fellow Kiwi pacers Stars Align (eight) and Motu Meteor (10) are on the second line.

Top Kiwi three-year-old filly Partyon, an impressive winner of her semifinal on Saturday, has drawn nine in her $190,000 final, with Aussie ace Petacular in three.

The Ray Green-trained, David Butcher-driven King Of Swing, who was a brave winner of his semifinal in the male two-year-old division, has come up with the ace draw for the $285,000 final.

He beat Aussie star Colt Thirty One (six) narrowly on Saturday, while other top chances Poster Boy, Sicario and Master Moonlite are on the second line.

The draw was kind to Kiwi-trained fillies Our Bettor Joy (two) and Our Angel Of Harlem (three) in their $285,000 two-year-old final, with leading Aussie hopes My Sweetchilliphilly and Nostra Villa on the second line.

The Cran Dalgety-trained Our Bettor Joy was huge in winning her semifinal on Saturday, coming three wide over the last 800m and storming home to beat Nostra Villa by a head after following her up, with Our Angel Of Harlem a brave third for trainer Barry Ward and driver Anthony Butt after leading out.

The winner zipped home over the last 800m in 55.9sec, the closing 400m in 27.9, clocking 2:34.7 for the mobile 2150m, with a mile rate of 1:55.8.

The other two-year-old fillies’ semifinal saw Aussie-trained Red Charmer upset them at $70 after coming from last, with previously unbeaten Kiwi-bred My Sweetchilliphilly over-racing and only battling into fifth.

Dalgety’s three-year-old trotting filly Our Chevron Express has come up with the two marble in her final, with Aussie favourites Dance Craze in five and Une Belle Allure drawn the inside of the second line.

Young Canterbury trainer Jack Harrington’s speedy two-year-old trotting filly Our Renezmae has the ace draw in her final, with Aussie stars Moonshine Linda in four and Aleppo Jewel in 11.
