Minor injury setbacks have delayed the return of Phil Williamson's star three-year-old trotters Springbank Lachie and Majestic Man.

Both have suffered setbacks that have delayed their return since spelling after competing in last season's Harness Jewels Ruby.

Majestic Man finished fourth, ahead of Springbank Lachie in fifth in the race won by Paramount King.

Springbank Lachie was to race at Wyndham on Thursday but was a late withdrawal after suffering a minor leg injury in the days leading up to the meeting.

Williamson does not consider the injury to be serious and expects the horse to resume racing in the near future, he said.

Majestic Man suffered what can also be described as a minor leg injury at an earlier stage of his preparation.

That put the horse two weeks behind Springbank Lachie after the pair had returned to training at the same time.

Majestic Man was likely to resume racing at the Geraldine Meeting on February 3, Williamson said.

The trainer’s third Harness Jewels starter, Majestic Connies, was pulled up after failing to step away in his resuming run at Wyndham on Thursday.
