Amazing Kids appeared to be fresh and hearty on Wednesday morning at Meydan racecourse, three days out from the Dubai World Cup meeting, as he worked on the dirt track.

John Size was on hand pre-dawn to observe Amazing Kids work under floodlights. The trainer, a first-timer at this international shindig, waited at the end of the chute to the dirt circuit, inconspicuous and removed from the sizeable press pack, as his charge worked through a lap of the main track.

Amazing Kids, engaged in Saturday's Gr.1 Al Quoz Sprint (1200m, turf) went an easy canter under work rider David Mo until the top of the stretch and then quickened his gait to a moderate but lung-opening tempo. Eased at the post, the five-year-old wound down to a walk in the back straight and had an eager spring in his trot as he jig-jogged off the track and returned to his stable.

"Everything is going normal, he seems okay to me. I just arrived late yesterday so there's not a lot else to report at this stage," said a taciturn Size.
