The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced on Monday that Mr Anthony Kelly has resigned from the position of Executive Director, Racing Business and Operations for personal reasons. He will relinquish his duties from today to enable the Club to make immediate alternative arrangements.

With immediate effect, the Racing Business & Operations division and the Racing Authority division will be merged under the leadership of Mr Andrew Harding, who has been appointed Executive Director, Racing. Mr Harding joined the Club in 2012 as Director of Racing Development. He was promoted to the position of Executive Director, Racing Authority in September 2015.

The Club would like to express its thanks to Mr Kelly for his service and to wish him all the best in his future endeavours. Since joining the Club in September 2015, Mr Kelly has contributed to the development of the state-of-the-art Conghua Training Centre and its integration with the horse training operation in Hong Kong.

During his tenure, Mr Kelly has also helped to enhance the standing of the Club’s world-class racing as well as to improve the quality of its training facilities. His other achievements include the expansion of Hong Kong racing fixtures to 88 race meetings, detailed planning to upgrade stable facilities, and the new format of the Hong Kong International Sales. Internationally Mr Kelly has served as a member of the ARF Pattern Committee, which has added to the Club’s leadership status in world racing.
