The energy drink corporation’s junior team, previously known as Toro Rosso and more recently AlphaTauri, is rebranding for the 2024 season and the secret is almost out.

Following in the footsteps of Alfa Romeo’s controversial rebranding to Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber - commonly to be known as Stake, after a crypto gambling site - the team’s Instagram has been renamed suggesting the rumoured new name is official.

The Instagram handle is now visacashapprb - and if you can’t understand that at first glance, you’re not alone.

The first three parts represent their new title sponsors, Visa and Cash App, while RB is either going to stand for Racing Bulls... or potentially just RB, according to some reports.

The website racingbulls.com was for a period redirecting to visacashapprb.com but now only the latter site is active - though it does not show anything when you head to that URL.

It’s most likely Racing Bulls will be the commonly-used name for the team but the reaction to the messy social media handle has been savage.

“Both Alfa and Alpha teams managed to come up with the two worst team names I have ever heard. This is horrendous,” the top comment for the news on Reddit read.
