Consistent three-year-old Cyber Attack heads in to Saturday’s Gr.2 Sacred Falls Hawke's Bay Guineas (1400m) in good form for Cambridge trainer Tony Pike, but will have to overcome a horror barrier draw (15).

The last start stakes winner is rated a $26 chance for Saturday’s contest.

“This will be his first run this preparation on a proper good track and Vinnie (Colgan, jockey) has always been of the opinion that he will appreciate that,” Pike said.

“His work through the week has been fantastic. If he had drawn a gate I thought he would have been a genuine each-way chance, but we will need a lot of luck from gate 15 and it is very hard to win from out there on a Good3 track.

“We will be positive from the gate. He is a horse that has got reasonably good gate speed and we will look to put him into the race. If he can get across without doing too much work then he is going to be a chance but it is not going to be straight forward.”

Pike said if Cyber Attack performs well he will head to the Gr.2 James And Annie Sarten Memorial Stakes (1400m) with a view to tackling the Gr.1 Al Basti Equiworld Dubai New Zealand 2000 Guineas (1600m) at Riccarton on November 10.
