Stolen Dance will have serious domestic business to attend to in the spring before any thoughts of an Australian campaign are entertained.

The Alamosa mare will have to break her duck at the top level for  Te Rapa trainer David Greene to seriously consider travelling the rising five-year-old further afield.

"We won't be going unless she can win a Group One here - we want to tick that box first," he said.

"We believe she can do that and expect her to be at her physical peak next season."

Stolen Dance enjoyed an outstanding four-year-old season with wins in the Gr. 2 Cal Isuzu Stakes, the Gr. 3 Eagle Technology Stakes and she also posted Group One seconds in the Zabeel Classic, Thorndon Mile and the Herbie Dyke Stakes.

She was spelled after finishing fourth in the Gr. 1 New Zealand Stakes in March and she is making good progress toward her return to racing.

"She's been back for a while and she's started doing some three-quarter pace," Greene said. "She's looking and moving great and she's grown an inch while she was out."

Stolen Dance will open her new preparation in the Gr. 1 Makfi Challenge Stakes at Hastings on August 27.

"I don't think she will have a run before that," Greene said. "Maybe she will have a trial or I can give her a couple of trips away and she will run in the second leg of the Hawke's Bay series as well."

The Gr. 1 Windsor Park Plate will be contested on September 17.

"The 1600-metre race appeals the most - we'll see how she goes in that and if she can come out and win, then we would be looking at a race like the Myer in Melbourne."
