A new addition to the riding ranks soon will be Graeme Rogerson's granddaughter, Bailey Rogerson. Bailey had her first trials ride at Waipa today.

Bailey turns 15 on June 27 and aims to ride in an amateur jockeys' race at Wingatui, three days after her birthday, along with her mother Michelle Northcott in the same race.

Bailey was a forefront bidder for Team Rogerson during the Karaka Sales in January. Bailey is pictured holding Mr Chez, who raced in the name of Bailey Rogerson Trust (racing's rules demand owners be at least 18) and Graeme himself. Bailey also rides trackwork every morning before going to school.
