Warriors star locked in on long-term deal

Warriors star Addin Fonua-Blake has signed a three-year extension which will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2026.

The 26-year-old was already contracted until the end of 2023 but the club wasted no time in making sure he will be a part of the side for much longer.

“I love being here and I’m excited about what’s ahead of us,” Fonua-Blake said via a club statement.

“My family also loves it here and we can’t wait to get over to New Zealand and really experience what the club is all about.

We can’t wait to get over to New Zealand and really experience what the club is all about.

“It just made sense to me to commit for the long-term right now. I didn’t want the distraction of contract negotiations later this year. I wanted it all sorted out now so my focus can be on playing footy for this club.”

Warriors coach Nathan Brown added: “Addin fitted in immediately. He has such an influence whenever he’s on the field so it’s great knowing he’s going to be with us for a lot of years to come. He’s making a huge difference to our club.”

The Bulldogs have confirmed the signing of Reece Hoffman on a one-year deal after the centre/back-rower gained an early release from the Wests Tigers.

Hoffman joined the Tigers on a development deal in 2020 and was due to be promoted to the Top 30 this season, however the 20-year-old has been granted an immediate release.

The Bulldogs confirmed the signing of the former Queensland under 18s representative on Friday, while the Tigers also confirmed his release.

“On behalf of all at Wests Tigers, I’d like to thank Reece for his efforts since joining the club in 2020,” Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said via a clube statement.

“Reece is a great young man, and we wish him all the best in the next steps of his career.”

Melbourne Storm have locked in two key pieces with Reimis Smith signing extending for two seasons and schoolboys sensation Jack Howarth inking a massive five-year deal.

Smith, whose new deal will keep him at the Storm until the end of 2024, enjoyed a strong first season under Craig Bellamy having joined from the Bulldogs.

The 24-year-old played 25 matches in 2025, including all 19 of the Storm’s record-equalling run.

Smith scored 14 tries including a hat-trick in round eight.

“I’m extremely happy,” he told the Storm website.

“I wouldn’t want to be at any other club but the Storm.”
