Warriors pull double switch in pack reshuffle; Titans flyer set for role swap: Late Mail

The Warriors have pulled a serious reshuffle ahead of Friday night’s battle with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Bunty Afoa will start at lock with Josh Curran dropping to the bench. Meanwhile, Tom Ale comes onto the bench with Jackson Frei dropping to 18th man.

Interim boss Stacey Jones is hoping the 14th-placed Warriors can claim a sixth win of the season and equal the 12th-placed Dogs.

Late Mail: The Daily Telegraph reports Titans coach Justin Holbrook could recall struggling half Toby Sexton. The cellar dwellers are looking to snap a 10-game losing streak and could promote Sexton from the extended bench, which would see Tanah Boyd switch to the pine and Greg Marzhew drop out. Marzhew trained in the centres this week and could come off the bench in that role.

“It’s a big jump going from wing to the middle, so I’ve just been able to get my reps in when I can during training,” Marzhew said.

“If Patty [Herbert] can pull through and start on the wing (returning from injury), I’ll definitely come off the bench.

“It can sometimes get boring on the wing just waiting for the ball to come, so I think it’d be a bit more exciting just being more involved.”
