An NRL star’s ex-wife has reportedly been charged with distributing and recording revenge porn and could be facing a three-year jail term.

The current player has reportedly represented his country and the footage features him and his new partner having sex according to The Daily Telegraph.

Police reportedly allege the porn was found by a friend of the woman’s young child on an iPad which was still linked to a shared cloud account which was set up during the pair’s relationship.

The account was reportedly still linked to the iPad which contained the pornographic images and videos.

The unnamed player reportedly made a formal complaint to police in October, accusing his ex-wife of threatening to distribute the material publicly.

According to reports, it will be alleged in court the woman was angry after the porn was discovered because her children have access to the iPad.

The woman also reportedly made contact with the NRL player to inform him the images and videos were disgusting.

Police allege the woman made threats during that phone call and raided her home on October 21, allegedly discovering an excerpt of the porn had been forward to a third party.

The woman will reportedly contest the charges, which both carry a maximum penalty of three years jail and an $11,000 fine, while police also alleged she made illegal recordings of the images and videos.

The woman’s lawyer entered pleas of not guilty to the two charges laid during court this week — intentionally distributing an intimate image without consent and another of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent.

According to The Daily Telegraph, details of the case have now been revealed after a court non-publication order was removed earlier this week after a publication put forward by the publication’s lawyers.
