A fan was reportedly ejected from Penrith’s BlueBet Stadium on Thursday night after allegedly directing a racial slur at South Sydney star Latrell Mitchell.

News Corp reported the incident is alleged to have taken place as the players came from the field at halftime of the Panthers-Rabbitohs clash.

Foxsports.com.au has chosen not to publish the alleged slur used.

Security were said to remove the fan during the break.

“I saw an incident at halftime in the tunnels as Souths players made their way to the sheds ... the alleged fans involved in this have left the ground,” Lara Pitt said on Fox League.

Police are believed to be reviewing footage from the incident.

They were seen questioning people in the area where the incident is alleged to have taken place.
