The Bulldogs will be sweating on an ankle injury to winger Josh Addo-Carr after he was carried off in the first half against the Rabbitohs.

“Confirming for Josh Addo-Carr it is an ankle injury,” Jake Duke said.

“They are thinking possible syndesmosis. They are not worried about his knee, but very unlikely to return.”

The Bulldogs confirmed Addo-Carr would not return for the rest of ther Good Friday clash and will likely need scans to determine the extent of the damage and time on the sidelines.

DOLPHINS LOSE ENFORCER IN HIA DRAMA

Veteran prop Jarrod Wallace will miss the Dolphins’ Round 7 clash with the Rabbitohs after the bunker ruled he had suffered a category one concussion in Friday’s clash with the Cowbys.

Wallace’s head collided with the hip of a Cowboys player in a tackle and he struggled to get to his feet afterwards.

He was taken from the field by a Dolphins trainer for a HIA and it was revealed at half time that he would not return.

However there was a bit of drama in that decision with sideline reporter Brent Tate reporting that Wallace had passed his tests, but the bunker intervened.

“A little big of conjecture down here on the bench. He’s passed all his HIA protocols in the sheds but the bunker has ruled it a category one. So the Dolphins are not happy on the bench,” he said.

 

SHARKS STAR SET FOR LENGTHY SIDELINE STINT

Sharks enforcer Toby Rudolf has been ruled out for three months after suffering a foot injury against the Warriors in Round 5.

According to a club statement, scans have confirmed that the 27-year-old has damaged a joint in his big toe and the blow required surgery.

Rudolf went under the knife in Tuesday and will now spend an extended period on the sidelines.

The hulking prop has become an integral figure in Cronulla’s forward pack, playing 71 games since joining the club.
