Former NFL pro and esports coach Ahman Green named new CTRL brand ambassador

Former Green Bay Packers NFL player and current Lakeland University esports head coach Ahman Green has been appointed as a brand ambassador for meal replacement company CTRL.

CTRL also announced the appointment of NBA 2K League team Nets Gaming Crew head coach Ivan Curtiss as a brand ambassador.

The company did not share any further details about the ambassadors’ duties in their new roles.

Although rising to fame as a professional football player, Ahman Green shifted his attention to esports since retiring in 2011. Green was appointed as the Head Coach of Esports at Lakeland University in Wisconsin and is the business development director for esports network ESTV.

Alex Matthysse, Head of Partnerships at CTRL, added: “To partner with an athlete of Ahman’s caliber is a major move for CTRL, it shows that our product is not only for gamers but for anyone who wants to lead a healthy lifestyle. Ahman has tried hundreds of meal replacements and protein shakes in his career and for him to choose CTRL to partner with shows the potential our product and brand has. We are super excited for this partnership and for what is coming in 2022!”

Ahman Green, new brand ambassador for CTRL, added: “I am very happy to be part of the CTRL family! I am health conscious as a gamer, and I let people know that we can be gamers and be healthy at the same time. CTRL is a company that has that in common with me as my mission is to be a healthy gamer.”

Esports Insider says: A professional NFL player turned esports coach is probably the best brand ambassador you can get for your healthy protein shake brand. Ahman Green will leverage his influence in the world of esports to promote CTRL and both sides are sure to benefit.
