There will be no jumps racing on the final day of 2023 in Britain with both Warwick and Uttoxeter being forced to abandon due to waterlogged tracks.

Both venues certainly held fears heading into their respective fixtures with poor weather forecasts causing early morning inspections.

A further 10.5mm of rain on the already saturated ground at Uttoxeter left the course unraceable, while 20mm of overnight rain at Warwick left their track waterlogged.

However, jumps racing fans will be able to enjoy the action at Punchestown as the Leinster venue successfully passed a morning inspection. The ground is currently heavy.

Punchestown's clerk of the course, Brian Sheridan said: "Following just 1.5mm of rain overnight, Punchestown is fit for racing and today's meeting goes ahead,"

"The ground remains heavy and having spoken to Met Eireann this morning there is further rain expected later.

"At this stage, Met Eireann are saying we could get 4-5mm but there is a possibility that the showers could get heavier at times and lead to more rain than that. It is a bit unpredictable.

"However, the good news is that the track is raceable and the fixture goes ahead."
