In 2018, the $1 million Group 1 Patron’s Bowl will be renamed as the Charity Bowl. All other details of the race will remain unchanged, with the 1,600m race still run as the second Leg of the Singapore Four-Year-Old Challenge on Sunday, 24 June 2018 at the Singapore Racecourse.

2018 is a significant milestone for Tote Board and Singapore Turf Club, as we commemorate our 30 Years of Giving to the Community. In line with this occasion, the Singapore Turf Club will designate Sunday, 24 June 2018 as a Charity Race Day.

The Club aims to raise up to $200,000 for charity through sale of tables. The Club’s esteemed guests, sponsors and corporate partners will be invited to name a race after them and/ or purchase tables or individual seats for a luncheon while enjoying the day’s races at the Grandstand at Singapore Racecourse.

Tote Board, on its part, will provide matching grant for all donations collected for the Charity Race Day, up to a maximum of $200,000. The Singapore Turf Club will channel all donations and grants from the Charity Race Day to Community Chest Singapore, directed to benefit children with special needs and youth-at-risk.

Mr Vince Toh, Chief Financial Officer, Singapore Turf Club said, "The Singapore Turf Club has always placed an emphasis on serving the community and cultivating a culture of CARE – a key component of the Club’s core values. The Charity Bowl is an opportune occasion for us to

engage all in the racing fraternity to give back to the community while showcasing a prestigious Group 1 race. It is a privilege to partner with Community Chest and their beneficiaries, and we look forward to a rewarding and meaningful Charity Race Day on 24 June.”
