Singapore

Ex pat kiwi Stephen Gray trained Hard Too Think to win the G1 Singapore Derby. Hard Too Think unleashed a powerful run to win comfortably by a length from Big Hearted. Hard Too Think gave trainer Gray his second Derby triumph, after Lim's Prestige in 2007.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong racing will offer record prize money of HK$1.46 billion for the 2021/22 season with the four G1 features on LONGINES Hong Kong International Raceday offering a combined new high of HK$100 million.

By elevating the LONGINES Hong Kong Cup’s prize money to HK$30 million, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will stage the world’s richest Group 1 races over 1200m, 1400m, 1600m and 2000m on turf.

The LONGINES Hong Kong Mile and the LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint, which are already the most valuable Group 1 races over 1600m and 1200m on turf, will rise to HK$26 million and HK$24 million respectively.

Japan

Former Westbury Stud Westbury Stud stallion Makfi sired his first Group winner on the big stage JRA, when three-year-old filly ALL AT ONCE (Makfi x Supreme Gift (Deep Impact)) with just 51kg too strong down the outside winning the G3 Ibis Summer Dash at Niigata.

First JRA winner for Rich Hill Rich Hill Stud shuttle sire SATONO ALADDIN when two-year-old filly LADY BALLANTINE (Satono Aladdin x Million Wishes) won on debut at Niigata. The dam is half to the Arc winner / now sire Bago.

Macau

The G1 Macau Derby was won by Australian-bred SIMON FUBUKI (Medaglia D'Oro).
