The Kolorful Kanvas Robinson Rosebowl is a long time feature open class 520m event hosted by the Christchurch GRC. There are numerous classy greyhounds who have had their names engraved on the Rosebowl over many decades.

Thursday’s $12,000 NZRS Advanced field at the Cambridge Raceway has an “imported” look to it as six of the nine listed Kiwi-bred greyhounds for the 457m event have commenced their racing careers in the other two racing regions in the country.

The talented staying greyhounds Dyna Weslyn and Dusty Gambler have received invitations to nominate for the TAB Stayers Topgun with the A$75,000 to the winner Group 2 725m event to be contested on the Melbourne based The Meadows track on October 27.

A rather promising greyhound from the Dave and Jean Fahey kennels cruised to an effortless win in last Friday’s $7,500 NZRS Novice final at the Addington Raceway. Mr. Matt is his name and his potential was underlined by the tidy 30.44s he cut out his 520m assignment in.

Kiwi Boy is sharp – very, very sharp. He displayed that talent when he tore apart his Kiwi bred sprinting rivals in Sunday’s $8,500 NZRS Sprint final over the 318m dash at the Manukau Stadium. His swift 18.18s personal best time told the story of this sprint final.
