Sensational! On a cold winter afternoon Craig Roberts produced his classy greyhound Dyna Dave to lower the long standing Addington 520m track record when he recorded a slick 29.75s gallop.

The previous 29.78s 520m Addington track record was set by Miss Koonawarra back in May 2008.

It was a power packed gallop from Dyna Dave who had previously broken the Addington 30 second 520m time barrier on three previous occasions.

“Unbelievable – I was staggered when Trev (Wilkes) announced his time. If you had off said to me at the start of the day that Dyna Dave was going to break the 520m track record I would have called you nuts. It was chilly day and nothing was running any quick times before he came out. His effort shows what a terrific greyhound Dyna Dave is. He got a good draw today and he comes out and runs that time. He has a massive run home time,” commented Roberts.

He’s spot on there as Dyna Dave cut out his first sectional in 5.95s, he then reached the back mark in 17.66s and then he stormed home in 12.09s. Imagine what time Dyna Dave could have delivered on a warm summer afternoon and on a fast track?

Dyna Dave’s Amazing Chase TAB Future’s win quote was promptly slashed back to $2.50 ($1.40 Top 3) from his prior $4 offering, which also saw a general easing out for the majority of other quotes.

Earlier the Roberts prepared promising youngster Dyna Weslyn stepped up to the mark when she defeated a handy Restricted Age feature 520m field in 30.28s to extend her unbeaten career record to seven wins.

The 520m track record also catapulted Dyna Dave to the top of the Roberts dominated Addington Formpro Amazing Chase leader board. Dyna Weslyn is now in second place with a rather smart 29.81s clock. Their kennel mate Dirk Bale now occupies the third possie with his 30.20s.
