It was another outstanding Christchurch Casino New Zealand Cup meeting hosted by the Christchurch GRC. The quality chasing action flowed seamlessly throughout the evening where $240,000 in stake money was won by connections.

Pita Ramos Too The Nail Bookie Monster 
The meeting started with the Jason-Dunn-trained promising sprinter Pita Ramos prevailing in the C4 295m dash; Too The Nail was the first of Dave and Jean Fahey prepared winners on NZ Cup night – the open class sprinter is seen here with handler Mark Lin, race sponsor Lisa Earl and Christchurch Board member Murray Wrigley; It was Jason Dunn again this time with his race 3 winner Bookie Monster

Know Shame Diddilee Allen Mack
Know Shame led home a kennel quinella for Gary Cleeve when she took out the race 4 Restricted Age 520m event from her kennelmate Know Flare, handled by daughter Sydney. They are seen here with race sponsors Deli and Carol Delimore; onto the race 5 Restricted Age 520m race and it was the northern Angela-Turnwald-trained Diddilee who prevailed; it was a Matt Roberts trained kennel quinella in the race 6 645m feature event – Allen Mack led home Cawbourne Krusty

Dyna Elwyn Blazin' Aubrey Avenger Bale Opawa Jumper
Dyna Elwyn clocked the meet-best 29.92s 520m time when he won the eighth for Craig Roberts which resulted in a crowded podium; The Lisa-Cole-trained NZ Cup first reserve Blazin’ Aubrey was a stylish winner of the NZ Cup consolation 520m event pictured here with Brendon Cole; It was Avenger Bale who produced a freewheeling victory in the $15,000 I Pave Concrete Sockburn Cup over 732m for Craig Roberts; the meeting wrapped up with the Robin Wales prepared Opawa Jumper strongly taking put the Galaxy Sprint consolation dash
